Early Intervention

Maine Early Childhood Consultation Partnership (ECCP®) 

ECCP® provides infant and early childhood mental health consultation, staff training, and support to child care centers, family child care providers, pre-K programs, public schools, and afterschool programs to improve the capacity of caregivers to effectively meet the needs of young children who may be experiencing challenging behaviors or have social emotional needs.  ECCP® incorporates support and resources to families of children referred for support through the child's early childhood education or care setting.

Youth Services

Children’s Behavioral Health Programs and Services (CBH) 

CBH facilitates the provision of services for the benefit of Maine children, youth, and families. While CBH is not a direct-service provider, their mission is to oversee and provide access to a broad range of services for children up to their 21st birthday. CBHS provides information on accessing providers, getting assistance paying for care, and the types of services and options for care available to children, youth, and their families dealing with issues including:

  • Mental Health
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Pervasive Developmental Disorders
  • Developmental Disability

Maine Behavioral Healthcare Youth Peer Support Statewide Network

Maine Behavioral Healthcare Youth Peer Support Statewide Network (YPSSN) staff have all self-identified with the experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges and are specially trained in Intentional Peer Support. This is not a clinical or treatment program. Program staff and participants support each other and build connections that help them better navigate the journey to a self-defined, meaningful life.
